Typography-o-rama comes to an end

And that, as they say, is all she wrote, folks. I just posted the last of the movie homage pieces that I have made so far. I'll be focusing my attention on some writing projects (and our upcoming trip to the Pacific Northwest!) So I may be incommunicado on this blog for just a little bit.

I will be coming back, though... Both to this blog and to more homage pieces. What movie/book/song/tv show/poem/etc would you like to see get the homage treatment? Let me know by leaving a comment!

  1. It's awesome how many prints you've sold so far. Have you thought about any other movies or historical documents or anything else to do next?

  2. Hey, in tribute to your recent trip, how about doing The Goonies? It could be in the shape of the Copper Bones skull. I also think Galaxy Quest would be a cool one. It's just my opinion but it's such a great movie. Also, some kids movies might be cool. For instance K absolutely LOVES Toy Story 2 and that would be cool. Especially if it was in the shape of one or more of the characters or in the shape of the fat font they use for the title. Just my 2cc's but thought I'd share.

  3. Hi Jenn! Thanks for thinking of me even though I haven't posted in forever.

I actually have been thinking about a Goonies piece too... we just recently watched the movie again and it gave me lots of fond memories of my own childhood. Definitely a classic.

I'm going to be working on a set featuring Harry Potter. I'm thinking another three-set: one featuring quotes from "good guys", one featuring the "bad guys", and one featuring the names of all the spells they use.

We had thought that a Twilight piece would be hugely popular, but apparently Summit Entertainment is really cracking down on Etsy shops with Twilight-related stuff, so I'll probably skip that for now.
